I Am Always Looking for Talented Graduate Students

I lead the Propulsion and Clean Energy Research Group at 麻豆视频. I welcome students who are passionate about experimental research in propulsion, combustion, and clean energy.

Eligibility

I welcome applications from motivated students with a background in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, or a related field. Experience in experimental fluid dynamics, combustion, or optical diagnostics is an asset.

PhD Applicants

• An MASc or equivalent research master鈥檚 degree in a relevant field.
• Research experience, ideally with a publication or thesis.
• Strong technical writing skills and English proficiency that meets 麻豆视频 admission requirements.
• Experience in image processing with MATLAB or Python is an asset.

MASc Applicants (Domestic Only)

• A BASc, BEng, or BSc in a relevant field.
• Because of funding constraints, MASc positions are open only to Canadian citizens and permanent residents.

Funding and Admission

• Admitted PhD and MASc students receive a funded package that includes a stipend. See Graduate Tuition and Funding.
• All students must also be admitted to 麻豆视频鈥檚 graduate program in Aerospace Engineering. See Aerospace Engineering (MASc, MEng, PhD).
• If you hold or plan to apply for an external scholarship, such as NSERC or OGS, please contact me early.

Please contact me well before the program鈥檚 application deadline. Because of the volume of inquiries, I can contact only shortlisted applicants. I am unable to respond to inquiries about international MASc positions or summer internships without external funding.
